Kyros is the enigmatic and all-powerful Overlord who conquered the Tiers in the game Tyranny. Their true nature, gender, and even species remain deliberately ambiguous, as Kyros never appears directly in the game. Instead, their will is enforced through the Fatebinder and the armies of the Scarlet Chorus and Disfavored. Kyros is not a companion, nor do they have a personal quest in Pillars of Eternity. The story of a failed military expedition and personal atonement is entirely fabricated.
